Ideally I'd like to avoid paying but I don't mind as long as I know I'm buying the right thing based on your recommendations, and that it'll get the job done. Do you know of any method or software to get photos out of it? I've googled around a lot and found a lot of random, obscure sounding third party tools that claim to be able to do this but they are all paid/limited trials. Step-2: Choose the photos that you want to extract by browsing through the albums. They only care about the photos in this backup, nothing else. Step-1: From the Home screen of your iPhone, tap on the Photos icon to launch the app. Normally I would restore the backup onto the phone, get the photos out, and then reset the phone again, but this iPhone 8 is now being actively used for work so I can't mess with it in the slightest (plus I think iOS 13 is too old now to be put back onto a device?) The backup was taken on March 2020, which means that it is most likely some version of iOS 13.

They have a ton of important photos with a lot of sentimental value in this, but they're not in a browsable form, so I need to find a way to get the photos out of this backup and send it to them. Ive found tools (all for Mac) that seem legit and can extract photos and stuff from a backup, but I cant find any that can do the same for Windows (or at. I have a full local iTunes backup of a family member's iPhone 8 on my Mac ( ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/).
